"The
sole object of said corporation shall be the spread of Christ's Kingdom among
men.", so reads the Act of Incorporation passed by the U.S. Congress
and signed by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908. This has been the "object"
of The
Brotherhood of St. Andrew since our founding in 1883. Our "sole object" soon established the Brotherhood as the Evangelism arm of the Episcopal Church with a history of having begun hundreds of mission churches, many of which matured into parishes. It was our sole object that lead to Brotherhood missionaries establishing the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. We hope, as you read about out ministry, you will be lead to begin a Chapter in your parish and join with us in bringing men into a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. We believe, Salvation can be found only by a public acceptance of Jesus as the Son of God, risen from the dead and Lord in your life; The authority of the Holy Scriptures; The power of the Holy Spirit; and the fellowship of believers. |
