Ages 3 years to 5th Grade

Children experience Christian Education through dedicated Sunday School teachers and programs that are spiritually fulfilling, thought provoking, and just plain fun!

3 & 4 Year Olds

Our three and four year olds enjoy Sunday School classes that are active and Interactive.  Hands on Bible (www.HandsOnBible.com) curriculum enables children to experience Bible stories and lessons appropriate for their age and energy.  The lessons combine activities, stories, music, and puppetry to impress the point of the lesson.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten students participate in Godly Play (www.GodlyPlay.org), an Episcopalian developed curriculum.  Godly Play is a wonderful experience, enlightening children with Biblical storytelling, traditional Christian language, and an environment designed to share the sacraments of Holy Eucharist.

Grades 1 - 4

Children in grades 1 through 4 experience biblical stories using the multiple learning method of LeadersResources Workshop Rotations (www.leaderresources.org).  Lessons focus on the same story for four-week cycles.  Children learn the story using various learning concepts in each workshop room they visit. We are pleased to offer the Workshop Rotation unit devoted to learning about and responding to the sacraments of Holy Eucharist.

Grade 5

Fifth grade students study The Mustard Seed Series (www.mustardseedseries.org).  An Anglican curriculum rooted in Scripture, it “links biblical truths with life’s dilemmas.”  The Mustard Seed Series develops a student’s critical thinking skills from a Christian perspective.  In addition to studying stories about the Old and New Testaments, our fifth grade students will spend time exploring The Book of Common Prayer and the history of the Episcopal Church.
