![]() The Team: There are currently 6 R.N.'s and a Forum Leader serving. They include: Mae Fischer, Annlynn Harris, Barb Misel,Linda Shrake, Pam Whitaker, and Wendy Wimberly. Look for our yellow name tags with black lettering next time you are here at SPSP. Our Focus: Is to find more ways to serve the parish. Occasionally at coffee hours, Annlynn Harris and Linda Shrake offer blood pressure checks. In addition, Annlynn has educational materials on blood pressure management. She brings cardiac expertise to this ministry from her position at Emory as Team Leader on the Cardiac Unit. Health and Safety Education: There are so many opportunities we are currently exploring. There are lots of great programs through the American Red Cross and The American Heart Association which we would like to offer to the church, espicially to our children and youth. Fun programs that can target any age group from hand washing, to pool safety, and even baby sitting classes. We will be working with both Kim Land and Ashley Lytle to see how our Pastoral Care ideas can be incorporated into the Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry this coming year. Activities and Dates: During the year, we will offer CPR courses at the church. It will be an American Heart Association "friends and family" class with individual mannequins provided to each person signed up to take home and teach another person the skills they've learned. Watch for more information in the Breaking Bread or the weekly announcements. Want to join our team? We're always looking for more nurses to become a part of this rewarding ministry. If you are interested in joining or if you have any ideas of way we can better serve, please contact the church office at 770-977-7473 or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
