God's People in Action: MUST is an interfaith organization responding to God's challenge to minister to persons in need in our community.

Comprehensive: No other organization offers the same range of services to help people break the cycle of poverty: emergency shelter, transitional housing, meals, groceries, clothing, job readiness and placement, substance abuse counseling, financial assistance, children's programs, community support groups, access to free health care, access to affordable housing.

Hope for Many: In a typical year, MUST helps 36,532 people with emergency groceries; 22,036 with free clothing; 590 with job placement; 2,672 with medical care; 5,237 children with clothes, school supplies and gifts; 2,373 people with emergency and transitional housing; and serves 64,882 hot meals.

Cost Effective: Our administrative cost is less than 7% of the total value of goods and services provided.

Inclusive: MUST services are open to everyone - men, women, children, families, disabled persons, mentally ill persons, persons with AIDS - regardless of residence, income, race, or religious beliefs.

Pioneering: Throughout its history, MUST has created programs that are models for dealing with core problems in our community; recovery from homelessness and substance abuse; job preparedness and placement; housing for mentally ill people; summer lunches and health programs for latch-key children.

Open & Flexible: MUST exists to fill the needs that others can't. Our programs are created in response to cries for help.

Dependent on You: MUST cannot survive without contributions from people who care. Three-fourths of our budget comes from donations and we are not a member of United Way.
More than 2,000 Volunteers gave over 94,000 hours last year to serve the least, the lost and the lonely.
