Youth Confirmation!
Confirmation: A rite in which we express
faith and commitment to Christ and, by prayer and the laying on of hands by a
bishop, receive strength from the Holy Spirit to continue in the life of faith
and commitment. Confirmation is prepared for through a period of study in
confirmation class or inquirers' class. Confirmation at St. Peter & St. Paul
signifies that a person publicly identifies herself or himself with the
Episcopal Church and takes up the responsibility to carry on and support the
mission of the church as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Confirmation is offered for all those interested in learning more about the Christian faith and the Episcopal Church. We also invite those who want to
refresh their faith and understanding. It is required of those to be confirmed
that they have been baptized, are sufficiently instructed in the Christian
Faith, are penitent for their sins, and are ready to affirm their confession of
Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
This year's youth confirmation will begin in January 2013 as a part of the J2A Sunday School Class.
