Classes begin January 6, 2013!

Bible Study                                                                      Jim Woodruff
Location  - Rm 5 (hallway between children and youth rooms - across from choir room)
We take a closer look at the Lectionary Bible readings for each Sunday, taking a particular interest in the Biblical and historical context for each reading. Location  -  Room 7 (hallway between children and youth rooms – across from choir       room)
This class is open for women of St. Peter & St. Paul who are interested in learning more about the teachings of the Bible.  This winter/spring we will continue studying the book of Acts.  This is a class of women who care about each other and support each other in our learning together.  We  use N.T. Wright’s study guide of 24 studies for Acts.  You can get your copy at Sweet Spirit Book Store.  They have moved across Johnson Ferry where Chick Fil-A is located.

Mere Christianity                                                                                                Kurt Mueller
Location  - Room 14 (downstairs near Creation Chapel) beginning January 6th.  No longer Dn Chip’s office
New class on C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity beginning February 10, 2013.
Mere Christianity is a great introduction to Lewis’s way of thinking.  Originally a series of radio addresses, this work details why Lewis is a Christian, and presents a case for Christianity that is compelling, to say the least.  Mere Christianity has been often described as the most important defense of Christianity in the twentieth century.  In addition to reading the book Mere Christianity, we will use the following book Mere Christianity: Discussion and Study Guide for the Book by C.S. Lewis written by Dr. Joseph McRae Mellichamp.  With Lewis’ book and Dr. Mellichamp’s discussion and study notes, we will be able to follow the important concepts and enjoy discussing Lewis’ ideas while addressing key questions.
