Adult Christian Education Bible Study Location - Garden Room (downstairs by kitchen – northwest corner) Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman, Proverbs 31 Led By Anne Wright/JoAnn Gotscha Location - Room 7 (downstairs across from choir room) In Proverbs 31, by Elizabeth George, we find a woman who knows the beauty of daily purpose, order, and focus - the kind of beauty that can get far in enriching a woman’s personal life, her marriage, and her family and work relationships. What’s especially exciting is that the secrets to her productive and meaningful lifestyle still apply to Christian women today! You, too, can know your priorities, understand your purpose, have clear daily direction, and enjoy greater order and simplicity by following the example of the Proverbs 31 woman. The Holy Spirit and His Gifts Led by Stuart Wright/Kurt Mueller Location - Conference Room (upstairs across from church administrative offices) John Musselman will meet with us on August 16th to give us an overview of the study program and set the stage for our study of the Holy Spirit and His Gifts for the rest of the 2010 calendar year. We may take a quick look back at Pilgrim’s Progress to see the relevance of the Holy Spirit in aiding Christian on his journey and how the lack of knowing and be able to use the power of the Holy Spirit hindered others, like the Man in the Cage and Ignorance. You will also hear about the testimonies of others who have been through this study and its impact on their lives. Marriage & Family Class Led By Jay Pongonis & Dave Crew Location - Choir Room (downstairs – center corridor) Will talk about the Ten Commandments, with talking points and video from Andy Stanley. Why did God give us rules and why in particular the Ten Commandments? Looking at Exodus 20, it becomes clear that the Ten Commandments were not given as conditions of a relationship with God but rather as confirmation of a relationship He had already established with the nation of not by following rules, but by trusting in Him, as the first commandment encourages us to do. Visitors/Newcomers Class Meets 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month Led By Beth Nabors Location - Deacon Chip’s Office (upstairs – between restrooms) Beth Nabors meets with visitors and/or newcomers to answer questions and/or directs them to the appropriate source. Gives a tour of the facilities as well.
