Did you resolve to spend more time with your spouse or loved ones this year? Well, we have a special program just for you!  Each week, we will have the option of watching a movie with your loved ones, and then you can come in on Sunday morning for a discussion on that movie. In Peter and Paul at the Movies, we gather together to discuss Faith in the Popular Culture, and a leader will bring in a movie with several thought- and discussion-provoking scenes to watch. This class begins on January 10th with Lilies of the Field.

The Dangerous Journey

Did you resolve to read more books in 2010? Travel more? We have a class for that! The Dangerous Journey class will embark on January 10th for an in-depth look at a modern translation of John Bunyan’s classic A Pilgrim’s Progress. This is a small-group format class, with reading assignments, and the lively theological discussions promise to be enlightening. You will enter the journey with Christian and fellow strangers, but will disembark at the Ce-lestial City with a close group of pilgrim-friends.

Reflections On The Sunday Scriptures

Sermons by definition are one-way streets. The preacher talks and we listen. But what about our questions? There is so much more to the Sunday scriptures than can be covered in the traditional Episcopal 12 to 20-minute sermons. Bring your coffee downstairs and come join us in the Garden Room directly below the Parish Hall for an in-depth look at the Sunday scriptures. And yes, you will be able to ask questions--and share your ideas too.

We will watch an enlightening DVD presentation every Sunday then will have time for a small group discussion of what we are learning. This 9 week class requires a workbook (less than $20) and will have 15 minutes of daily reading to do during the week.  Anne Wright and Marilyn Mueller will facilitate the class.
