Welcome

The primary mission at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Preschool is to provide age appropriate educational programs with loving care, grounded in Christian values and traditions. To this end, we employ a loving, caring, experienced staff that is eager for the opportunity to share in the joy and responsibility of teaching your children how to learn in a stimulating social environment.

We provide a safe, warm, and welcoming haven for our students through an atmosphere of learning and development, love and laughter, play and fun. At St. Peter and St. Paul Preschool, we encourage children to be themselves, thereby fostering their self-esteem, independence, and individuality.

The daily routine at our school allows the children to explore areas of familiar tasks and exciting new activities. A typical day provides opportunity for free play, stories, art, music & creative movement, manipulatives, language skills, pre-math skills, outdoor play, and snacks. The 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes attend chapel once a week lead by a member of the clergy.

School Rules

  1. Share
  2. Make new friends
  3. Listen and follow directions
  4. Learn and explore
  5. Make a mess
  6. Have fun

One focus of the school is improving children’s social abilities. We help them learn to share, which is a primary component of getting along with others. They also will be taught to respect their fellow students and have respect for themselves. It is our hope that the children will learn how to make new friends, a skill that will help them throughout their lives.

One of the first rules in any scholastic endeavor is to learn to listen and follow directions. This will be emphasized in the classroom not only in the traditional manner, but also through fun games and play. We encourage children to explore and discover so that they can learn new concepts and problem-solving skills. Each year will provide a building block toward our goal, which is preparing your child for kindergarten and the world beyond.

We feel that the best way to encourage creative thought is through hands-on activities. We want the children to make a mess and use their imagination, all the while helping them to have fun. We want to instill a love of learning and an excitement about school that will carry through their entire educational career. We have a variety of classes to offer for 18 month old toddlers to 4 year old preschoolers. Following is a monthly tuition schedule.  Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year will include 9 1/2 tuition installments of the following amounts:

5-day classes — $250/month
4-day classes — $225/month
3-day classes — $200/month
2-day classes — $175/month

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $150 per student; however, the maximum registration fee that will be charged to one family is $200.00.

The Preschool/Mother’s Morning Out is a community outreach program under the auspices of the Episcopal Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The school has been in operation since 1987 and is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools.

Dates and Times

The school is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  We follow the Cobb County school calendar for teacher workdays, in-service days, and any closings due to inclement weather, etc. Because we are a church-based school, we are also closed on Good Friday or Easter Monday.

A one-hour after-school Lunch Bunch program is available for an additional cost for children in the 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes.
