Wilderness treks appear many times in Scripture, and in our own lives, as routes from an old reality to a new and better one. For the Jews, coming out of slavery in Egypt, it was the way to the Promised Land. For Jesus, coming up from the water of baptism, it was the movement from carpenter to Messiah.

During this Lent, we will listen to the stories of bishop, priests, deacon and lay people as they have sought to move faithfully from their initial encounter with Christ to their present point on the way.
