Adult Christian Formation:
Fall 2023

We grow disciples of Jesus Christ among adults and their families. Sunday School classes meet 9:15-10:15 AM.

​

We also provide evening classes & groups, a fellowship group for 20s & 30s, several weekday Bible studies, retreats (for men, for women, and for the whole parish). We also sponsor special events and programs, including multi-generational and inter-generational programs such as the weekly Lent program.

​

Adult Christian Formation is also supported strongly by:

The Bible Project Group

Facilitators: Keith Purser, John Patton, Tom Mimms

Location: Room 3

This class is open to all adults and will be viewing and discussing a book of the Bible each week utilizing the Bible Project found at bibleproject.com.

Psalms - Prayers of the Heart - 12 week study

Location: Room #12

Join the Sunday morning Women's Bible Study as we begin our new study: Psalms - Prayers of the Heart. The Psalms show us how to relate to God as we pray our doubt, fears, and anger. They show us how to respond to God in praise. Here we find the best place to explore who we are and what God means to us. Hope to see you soon.

Women’s Sunday School Class: Old Testament Characters – new study starting November 7!
Facilitators:  Kristi Story, JoAnn Gotschall, Cathy Shuman, Eileen Mittleider

Abraham is an unforgettable portrait of faith. Daniel is a classic example of holiness. And through her willingness to risk her own life, Esther shows us what commitment means. This Bible Study introduces you to twelve remarkable lives described in the Old Testament. The stories of these people from the ancient past can help you learn to live well even today. The Holy Spirit 
Facilitators: Jim Woodruff, John Patton and Tom Mimms    
Location: Room 8

We will study “The Holy Spirit: Activating God’s Power in Your Life” by Billy Graham for 18 weeks beginning September 19. All adults are welcome to join us as we learn how the Holy Spirit can transform our lives.

Growing Christian Families Sunday School Class (for parents of newborns – 12th graders)
Facilitators: John & Sara Clark

Location: Room 6

Raising young kids can be a daunting task, but we needn’t do it alone.  Come join us as we share our experiences and try to learn how God’s wisdom can help us raise compassionate, respectful children while also taking care of ourselves.  Contacts: John & Sara Clark.
