Celebration of Ministry

With joy they celebrated the festival of unleavened bread seven days; for the LORD had made them joyful… Ezra 6:22

Dear Friends in Christ,

What do you celebrate in your life? Significant achievements? Major milestones such as graduation or marriage or the birth of a child? Do you take the time to celebrate the many blessings God gives you each day? Just think of all of the ways God has blessed your life. Even if you are going through something horrible at the moment, there are blessings to be found, and blessings that have endured. Think of your home or close friends, family members who have stood by you over the years. Think of God’s wisdom and grace in guiding you through life, drawing you closer to him.

At St. Peter & St. Paul, we are celebrating the many blessings God gives to this community through our common ministry. Scores of people facilitate our worship of God each weekend. Numerous volunteers help the poor and needy in Service ministries. Stephen Ministers and Community of Hope chaplains and others provide Christian care giving. Loving teachers and leaders help us study the Bible and grow as disciples of Jesus. In official and unofficial ways, you welcome each other and welcome the stranger to know and love the Lord.

Come join us after the 10:30 service this Sunday for a Celebration of Ministry lunch. Bring family and friends to enjoy the food and fellowship. We will hear a brief presentation to review and celebrate the many different ministries of this church. Come join us and invite others to come as well. We will thank those who serve and invite others to share the joys of ministry as well, discovering what God is doing in us and through us.

To learn more about our many ministries, see our website, www.peterandpaul.org. Here’s an org chart for a quick list of all our ministries, and this page is a resource for learning more.

Thank you for all you do to praise God and serve Christ in the world!

Yours in Christ,

-Tom
